This past weekend, I had an outdoor hangout with one of my best friends. She was the friend who had originally gotten me into watercolor painting. She has been quite committed to making beautiful watercolor art and had bought some nice watercolor paints and thick cardstock paper. We decided to make some cards and brought in an element of collaboration.

For the creating process, we each took turns doing some painting and then passing the card to the other person so that they could add something else to the card. For the card below, I made some simple paint circles and added details in black sharpie to create a space scene. I passed the card to my friend who colored in the rocket ship and added some text to the card. My friend has the other two cards we made, but they had similar pun themes with a volcano and the words “I lava you” and an avocado visual with the words “you guac my world”. Overall it was a really fun process, and I loved collaborating on some small art pieces.
